Lightship Media partnered with New York Grilled Cheese Company for their first digital marketing campaign. The establishment has been very successful among locals for their unique offering of gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches. The owner, Leor Barak, wanted to expand his customer base beyond Wilton Manors and East Fort Lauderdale with a campaign that would get them noticed throughout South Florida. It was important to create a video that clearly showed what is special and different about their offerings, but do it in a way that would engage viewers, be memorable and encourage people to share the video.

 

The video premiered at a benefit party at the restaurant that included incentives for patrons who immediately shared the video during the party. The video was posted on YouTube and the New York Grilled Cheese company's Facebook page. It was shared numerous times and as a result was viewed 2,617 times on the first night alone. The video was then paid promoted on Facebook which increased the number of views to 10,000 in less than a month.

 

Lightship then created a targeted YouTube campaign which serves the video to YouTube users. Users can opt to skip or watch the whole video.  With a modest budget, the campaign targeted only Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties. In addition we were able to target the specific interests of the people by specifying characteristics such as food or travel.

 

On average 1200 people opt in per day and watch the whole video which has brought the total number of viewers to more than 40,000. It's been viewed from 73 countries around the world.
